Football Recap: Aurora Comes Up Short

Aurora extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to four on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They were dealt a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Wahoo Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Warriors are ranked third).

Wyatt Pollet threw for 57 yards on eight of 18 attempts. Canon Allen was his top target, picking up 43 receiving yards. On the ground, Ian Jensen rushed for 82 yards on only nine carries.

As for Wahoo, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0. Fans of they have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Kip Brigham went supernova, rushing for 292 yards and four TDs while picking up 18.3 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September of 2024. Kaden Christen also helped out with an impressive 115 receiving yards.

Coming up, Aurora will welcome Scotus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wahoo, they are taking a road trip to take on Gross Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
