            United Christian Academy is on  a  five-game streak of home wins, while California Lutheran is on  a  three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Eagles will host the C-Hawks  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
On Tuesday, United Christian Academy sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  3-2  victory over California School for the Deaf-Riverside.
Meanwhile, California Lutheran narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past La Sierra Academy  3-2.
 California Lutheran was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (115-111), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 18-25, 20-25, 33-31, 25-23,  15-11.
United Christian Academy better focus on containing  Sophia Le and  Neleh Boehm as the pair were huge in California Lutheran's win. Le  had 16  digs and two  aces, while  Boehm  had 18  assists and three  aces. Those  16  digs gave  Le a new career-high.  Sophia Ponce was another key player,  getting eight assists and three  aces.
 California Lutheran  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 15  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least six  aces in ten consecutive  matchups.
