Football Recap: Providence Hall Patriots vs. American Leadership Academy Eagles
Providence Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the American Leadership Academy Eagles on the road and fell 56-7. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.
Kannon Huntsman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for American Leadership Academy, rushing for 120 yards and four touchdowns on only nine carries. Huntsman's longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Tad Swarnes also helped out with an impressive 81 receiving yards.
Providence Hall's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for American Leadership Academy, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Providence Hall will venture away from home to challenge Layton Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Layton Christian Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Providence Hall surely won't give up without a fight. As for American Leadership Academy, they will square off against South Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. American Leadership Academy will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
