Baseball Recap: Quincy Takes a Loss

While it was Quincy who put the first runs on the board on Friday, it was Quincy Notre Dame who put up more. The Blue Devils fell 9-6 to the Raiders. The Blue Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 10-0.

Mason Dent made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Quincy and nudges their season record down to 14-16. As for Quincy Notre Dame, their record now sits at 18-9.

Coming up, Quincy will head out on the road to face off against Timberland at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Quincy Notre Dame, they will host Routt Catholic at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rockets have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
