Basketball Recap: Byrd Takes a Loss

Byrd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Parkway Panthers, falling 66-43. While losing is never fun, the Yellow Jackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 1269th, while the Panthers are ranked 58th).

Byrd's defeat dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Parkway, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-9.

Byrd will be playing in front of their home fans against Benton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Parkway, they will head out on the road to challenge Haughton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
