Softball Recap: Polytechnic Takes a Loss

Polytechnic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the South Hills Scorpions, falling 18-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Scorpions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on March 5th.

Polytechnic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for South Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-15-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Polytechnic will host Trimble Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Trimble Tech has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.32 runs per game on average), something Polytechnic will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for South Hills, they will welcome Fort Worth Country Day at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
