Basketball Game Preview: Monroe Redhawks vs. Reidsville Rams

The Monroe Redhawks will square off against the Reidsville Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Monroe is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 59-50 victory over Hendersonville. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Redhawks.

Meanwhile, Reidsville put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 94-62 win over North Stanly. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Comets are ranked 176th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Reidsville's victory was their 27th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 27-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 84.7 points over those games. As for Monroe, their win bumped their record up to 16-3.
