Basketball Recap: Malden Takes a Loss

Malden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt an 85-44 defeat at the hands of the Caruthersville Tigers. The Green Wave were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

Malden's record now sits at 0-9. As for Caruthersville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season.

Malden is taking a road trip to take on South Pemiscot at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Caruthersville, they will square off against Fredericktown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Caruthersville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.
