Soccer Recap: South Columbus Takes a Loss

South Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Bladen Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against West Bladen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 last Tuesday.

South Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for West Bladen, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 6-9-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. South Columbus is set to square off against their familiar foe Whiteville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, West Bladen will challenge rival South Brunswick at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
