The win made it two in a row for Cherokee County and bumps their season record up to 5-6. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored seven goals over those two matches. As for New Hope, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cherokee County beat the Indians by a score of 4-1 on Tuesday.
