Football Game Preview: Urbandale J-Hawks vs. Indianola Indians

The Urbandale J-Hawks will venture away from home to square off against the Indianola Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Urbandale is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 42 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Norwalk on Friday. They fell 20-13 to the Warriors.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Indianola over Sioux City North in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Indians blew the Stars out of the water with a 38-0 final score. The Indians pushed the score to 31-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Stars had no chance of recovering from.

Indianola's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Urbandale, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Urbandale came up short against Indianola when the teams last played back in August of 2024, falling 21-17. Thankfully for the J-Hawks, Jake Pontier (who rushed for 143 yards and three scores) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
