The Classical Magnet Gladiators waltzed into their game Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Capital Prep by a score of 60-52. For Classical Magnet, this counts as revenge for the 57-55 defeat Capital Prep walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.
Despite the defeat, Capital Prep saw an underclassman step up: Syre Gillespie scored 21 points along with four steals. The match was Gillespie's third in a row with at least ten points. Amare Cockfield was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
