Volleyball Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Santiago Sharks, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sharks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

Centennial was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-15, 25-13.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Santiago, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Centennial is set to challenge their familiar foe Norco at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Santiago will face off against rival Roosevelt at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
