Florence came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Sparkman, but Braylon Lawson wouldn't allow it. The Senators had just enough and edged out the Falcons 24-21 with plenty of help from Lawson, who rushed for 171 yards and two scores while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Sparkman is 3-1 when Lawson posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 2-4 otherwise.

The win made it two in a row for Sparkman and bumps their season record up to 5-5. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.0 points over those games. As for Florence, they moved to 5-4 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Sparkman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Florence, they will take on Oxford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
