Thomas More Prep-Marian strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Ellis Railroaders a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Monarchs have won six games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Carson Liles looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Ian Nehls was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4. Connor Breit was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Thomas More Prep-Marian's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Ellis, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Thomas More Prep-Marian beat the Railroaders by a score of 13-4 later that day.
