Basketball Game Preview: West Nassau Warriors vs. Union County Fightin' Tigers

The West Nassau Warriors will square off against the Union County Fightin' Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

West Nassau is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against First Coast on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. West Nassau was outmatched by First Coast and fell 56-29.

Despite the loss, West Nassau had strong showings from Olivia Wiggins, who posted six points and five boards, and Mariah Coleman, who had no points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Union County hadn't done well against Keystone Heights recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Union County came out on top in a nail-biter against Keystone Heights, sneaking past 32-30. That's two games straight that the Fightin' Tigers have won by exactly two points.

West Nassau's defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Union County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-12 record this season.
