Basketball Recap: Eastview Comes Up Short on the Road Against Providence Academy + How To Watch

Eastview kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 92-91 to the Providence Academy Lions. If the Lightning were looking for revenge after losing 70-65 to the Lions when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Maddyn Greenway had an outrageously good game for Providence Academy as she dropped a double-double with 38 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Greenway has scored at least a third of the Lions' points. Another player making a difference was Emma Millerbernd, who posted 12 points along with seven assists and six boards.

Providence Academy now has a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastview will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Eden Prairie at 5:00 p.m. on December 31. As for Providence Academy, they will be playing at home against Edina at 7:00 p.m. on December 3.
