Football Game Preview: Muenster Hornets vs. Shiner Comanches

The Muenster Hornets will take on the Shiner Comanches in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Muenster sitting on 11 straight victories and Shiner on 12.

Muenster is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against Gruver as Muenster made off with a 49-26 win. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by 23 points or more this season.

The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Casen Carney and Briggs Satterfield. Carney had a great game and rushed for 158 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Satterfield was balling out in the loss, throwing for 162 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 99 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Shiner has relied on a stalwart defense averaging 11.93 points allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They walked away with a 41-33 victory over Bremond.

Shiner's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Muenster, their victory bumped their record up to 13-2.
