Softball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is New Caney's Fourth in Last Five Outings

New Caney's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They never let The Woodlands Highlanders get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

New Caney has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. The Woodlands moved to 10-5 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, New Caney will square off against Cleveland at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for The Woodlands, they will head out to take on Conroe at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
