Softball Preview: Denver West Cowboys vs. Kennedy Commanders        
        
		
             Denver West hasn't had much luck against Kennedy recently, but that could start to change  on Thursday. The Denver West Cowboys' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Kennedy Commanders at 4:00  p.m. Denver West is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6  runs per game  this season.
 Denver West is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Hinkley on Tuesday as Denver West made off with  a  21-4 victory.
  Angel Lucero made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Lucero was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 In other batting news, Denver West got a  massive  performance out of  Citlaly Montanez, who  scored four  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Ariel Toledo, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Kennedy came up short against  Pueblo East on Saturday, falling  12-3. The Commanders have now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Denver West's win  ended  a  six-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 2-11. As for Kennedy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
 Denver West suffered a grim  15-1 defeat to Kennedy  in their previous matchup  two weeks ago. Can Denver West avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
