Baseball Recap: Carbon Comes Up Short

Carbon blew Richfield out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Richfield got their revenge. The Dinos fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Dinos have suffered since March 14th.

Stockton Kennedy was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Carbon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddex Willson, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. Another was Paxton Falk, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Carbon's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Richfield, their record now sits at 4-8.

While Carbon had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
