Baseball Recap: Shelton Takes a Loss

If Shelton was feeling good fresh off their 15-2 takedown of Bishop Gorman last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chargers took a 13-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mansfield Homeschool Knights on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chargers of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Shelton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9-2. As for Mansfield Homeschool, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6-2 record this season.

Shelton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mansfield Homeschool, they will take on Har-Ber at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
