The Palmer Moose are taking a road trip to challenge the Homer Mariners at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Palmer is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.3 goals per game this season.

Palmer is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Grace Christian, who was ranked 20th at the time (Palmer was ranked eighth). The Moose's defense stepped up to hand the Grizzlies a 2-0 shutout on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for Palmer in their matchups with Grace Christian: they've now won six in a row.

Cole Miller was the driving force of Palmer's attack as he scored both of Palmer's goals, bringing his season total up to 12 goals.

Meanwhile, Houston kept up with Homer until halftime on Thursday, but afterwards: not so much. The Mariners were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over the Hawks. Considering Homer have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Palmer's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those five matchups. As for Homer, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5-1 record this season.

Palmer took their win against Homer when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0 score. Do the Moose have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mariners turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
