Volleyball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty was the 3-0 winner over Valley View when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Bison fell 3-1 to the Eagles on Thursday. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Liberty started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 14-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Liberty still got an impressive performance from Jeremy Mallabo, who had 18 digs. Ashtyn Collier was another key player, getting 15 assists and ten digs.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 22-11. As for Valley View, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Liberty will challenge rival Hemet at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Valley View is set to face off against their familiar foe Moreno Valley at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
