Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Kennard's 11th in Last 12 Outings

Kennard had won three straight road games and De Vant'E Toliver did his part to make it four on Friday. The Kennard Tigers blew past the Apple Springs Eagles 78-35 thanks in part to Toliver, who went 6 of 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 28 points along with five assists and five boards. His afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jay Benton, who went 7 of 10 en route to 15 points and five steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in November.

Kennard has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Apple Springs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kennard will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cushing at 2:00 p.m. on December 31st. As for Apple Springs, they will welcome Harleton at 9:30 a.m. on Friday.
