Volleyball Recap: Hearne Eagles vs. Burton Panthers
Hearne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Burton Panthers, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2014.
The final score came out to 25-4, 25-6, 25-7.
Burton can attribute much of their success to Reagan Roemer, who had seven digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Roemer a new career-high.
Hearne's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Burton, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 24-14.
Hearne will challenge Mumford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Burton, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Somerville at 6:00 p.m. Burton will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
