Volleyball Recap: Thornton Trojans vs. Adams City Eagles
There's no place like home for Thornton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. Everything went their way against the Adams City Eagles on Monday as the Thornton Trojans made off with a 3-0 win. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.
Thornton never let Adams City on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-22, 25-14.
Thornton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in August of 2023.
Thornton's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-11. As for Adams City, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14.
Thornton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Gateway on the 24th. Adams City has also already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Aurora Central on the 24th.
