Football Recap: Natchez Takes a Loss

Natchez played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 35-14 to the Ridgeland Titans. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

Erik Hutchins, Jr threw for 155 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Marion Moore was his top target, picking up 78 receiving yards and one score.

Natchez now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Ridgeland, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Looking ahead, after each having a week off, Natchez and North Pike will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The Bulldogs will be up against the Jaguars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.2 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Ridgeland, they will face off against Warren Central at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The Titans will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.6 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
