It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Trico had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Century Centurions by a score of 2-0. Winning may never get old, but the Pioneers sure are getting used to it with their 12th in a row.
Whitney Lovel paced Trico's offense, picking up ten kills. Lovel got some help from Molly Rathert and her 17 assists. Finally, Hazel Helmers kept Trico's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.
Trico's victory bumped their record up to 30-6. As for Century, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-18.
Coming up, Trico will welcome Cobden at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Century does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
