Soccer Recap: West Fork Comes Up Short

After flying high against Stafford last Thursday, West Fork came back down to earth. The West Fork Gators lost 3-0 to the Morton Ranch Mavericks on Saturday. If the Gators were looking for revenge after losing 5-1 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

West Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4-1. As for Morton Ranch, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3-1.

West Fork wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Goose Creek Memorial on the 14th. As for Morton Ranch, they will square off against Katy Taylor at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Katy Taylor will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Morton Ranch surely won't give up without a fight.
