Volleyball Recap: Deep Creek Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Deep Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Western Branch Bruins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bruins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Deep Creek started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-17.

Deep Creek's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Western Branch, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Deep Creek is set to take on their familiar foe Nansemond River at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Western Branch will challenge rival King's Fork at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
