Softball Recap: Clymer/Sherman Has No Trouble Against Frewsburg

After only two runs in their last game, Clymer/Sherman made sure to put some runs up on the board against Frewsburg on Saturday. The Wolves blew past the Bears 15-2. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won seven in a row.

Elli Bodamer was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Janelle Burchanowski, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, four runs, and two doubles. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Caylee Pinzok was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Clymer/Sherman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .517. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Clymer/Sherman's record now sits at 7-2. As for Frewsburg, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-11.
