Softball Recap: Clymer/Sherman Wins Going Away Against Frewsburg

Clymer/Sherman won the last time they faced Frewsburg and things went their way on Saturday too. The Wolves were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Bears. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won five contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Elli Bodamer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Janelle Burchanowski was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, four runs, and two doubles. She has been hot, having also posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Addie Wiggers was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Clymer/Sherman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Frewsburg only managed four hits.

Clymer/Sherman's record is now 7-2. As for Frewsburg, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Clymer/Sherman didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 16-4 victory against Cassadaga Valley on the 13th. As for Frewsburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-7 defeat against Silver Creek on the 12th.
