Softball Game Preview: Holgate Tigers vs. Edgerton Bulldogs

The Holgate Tigers will challenge the Edgerton Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Holgate has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Edgerton will arrive with seven straight wins.

Holgate came up short against Edon on Thursday, falling 25-4.

Markee Wilhelm was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Penelope Aguilar, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Edgerton got themselves on the board against Wayne Trace on Thursday, but Wayne Trace never followed suit. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Raiders.

Edgerton's win bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Holgate, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
