The C.B. Aycock Golden Falcons will head out to challenge the Hunt Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
While C.B. Aycock's victory against Fike wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Golden Falcons beat the Demons on Tuesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-3. The Golden Falcons haven't had any issues with the Demons recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

C.B. Aycock got a great performance from Ashton Fricks as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Those six strikeouts gave Fricks a new career-high.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Janeson Steele, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Hunt waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Saints with a sharp 10-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won six contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Will Doll was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Barnes Willoughby, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Hunt kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive games.
C.B. Aycock's record now sits at 8-9. As for Hunt, their record is now 12-7.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. C.B. Aycock has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Hunt struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
C.B. Aycock suffered a grim 13-1 defeat to Hunt in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Golden Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
