While Dominican's win against Brookfield Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights won by a run and slipped past the Blue Knights 10-9. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Lulu Sims made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Sims wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lily Weiler, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Weiler has posted since back in May of 2025. Another was Cate Wahlen, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Dominican kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brookfield Academy only managed six.
Dominican's record is now 11-9. As for Brookfield Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-9.
As of now, neither Dominican nor the Blue Knights have any future games scheduled.
