Football Recap: Bear River Bears vs. Stansbury Stallions

Bear River extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-4. They had to suffer through a 56-14 loss at the hands of the Stansbury Stallions. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Stallions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2016.

Although Bear River took the loss, they still got scores from Korver Riley and Glaiden Behrens.

As for Stansbury, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Brighton Reutzel, who threw for 373 yards and four TDs while completing 82.1% of his passes, and also rushed for 73 yards on only five carries. Those 73 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Stansbury is set to square off against their familiar foe Mountain Crest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
