Softball Recap: South Milwaukee Comes Up Short

South Milwaukee extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 12-4 in the process. They came up short against the Kenosha Tremper Trojans, falling 9-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Rockets have suffered since May 23, 2024.

South Milwaukee saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alix Bock, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

As for Kenosha Tremper, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-7. With that win, they brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

On Kenosha Tremper's side, the team relied heavily on Mallory Meier, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Meier a new career-high. Aubrey Juga was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Coming up, South Milwaukee will take on Wauwatosa East at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Kenosha Tremper, they will challenge Franklin at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Sabers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
