Basketball Recap: Altamont Piles Up the Points Against Patoka

With a playoff win on the line, Altamont rose to the challenge on Monday. They really took it to the Patoka Warriors for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-32 win. That looming 66-32 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Indians yet this season.

Leading Altamont to victory were Cooper Mcmanaway and Benjamin Roedl. Mcmanaway to rack up 23 points, while Roedl on his way to 12 points and three blocks. That's the most points Mcmanaway has posted since back in January. Zaine Miller was another key player, putting up nine points.

Altamont has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points over those games. Patoka dropped their record down to 9-18 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Altamont will challenge North Clay/Clay City at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with North Clay/Clay City sitting on nine straight victories and Altamont on three. Patoka does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
