Preview: Mt. Pulaski Hilltoppers vs. Litchfield Purple Panthers
The Mt. Pulaski Hilltoppers will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Litchfield Purple Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Hopefully Mt. Pulaski is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Litchfield in Illinois (Mt. Pulaski is ranked 235th, while Litchfield is ranked 592nd).
On Thursday, Mt. Pulaski didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Pawnee/Calvary/Lutheran, but they still walked away with a 49-43 victory.
Meanwhile, Litchfield's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central 59-17. Litchfield was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-0.
Mt. Pulaski is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Litchfield, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.
Mt. Pulaski didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Litchfield in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, but they still walked away with a 49-45 victory. Will Mt.
