Colfax had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Durand-Arkansaw Panthers a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Vikings have won five matches by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Colfax pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Durand-Arkansaw, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Colfax will be playing at home against Spring Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Durand-Arkansaw, they will venture away from home to square off against Elmwood/Plum City at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
