Basketball Recap: Syracuse Takes Down Ranked Riverton

On Thursday, Syracuse faced Riverton in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Syracuse Titans secured a 55-49 W over the Riverton Silverwolves. The victory almost wasn't to be: the Titans were down 34-15 in the second quarter.

When it comes to explaining why Riverton lost, don't look at Maggie Hamblin. Despite the final result, she shot 4-for-7 from long range and dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Hamblin a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Halle Talbot, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 11 points.
