Baseball Recap: Eaglecrest Takes a Loss

Eaglecrest lost against Arapahoe on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Raptors fell 6-1 to the Warriors. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Braden Elliott made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times he's played. Caiden Van Damme also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Eaglecrest now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Arapahoe, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-8.

Looking ahead, Eaglecrest will be playing in front of their home fans against Chaparral at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Raptors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. Arapahoe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
