Basketball Recap: Valley Regional's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Valley Regional's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They strolled past the Hale Ray Noises with points to spare, taking the game 72-53. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Valley Regional got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Noah Dolinsky out in front who went 10 for 23 en route to 30 points. The dominant performance gave Dolinsky a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Rex Grabowski, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

With the victory, Valley Regional broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-5. As for Hale Ray, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Valley Regional has already played their next game, a 64-49 defeat against Old Saybrook on the 13th. As for Hale Ray, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 52-47 loss against Cromwell on the 13th.
