Baseball Recap: Limon Takes a Loss

After flying high against Las Animas on Tuesday, Limon came back down to earth. The Badgers lost 11-3 to the Yuma Outlaws on Thursday. The Badgers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Outlaws apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Limon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quinten Blatnick, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Brooks Scherrer, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Limon has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season. As for Yuma, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-4.

Looking ahead, Limon will head out on the road to square off against Peyton at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The Badgers will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests. As for Yuma, they will host Bennett at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
