If Howard wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Westside, they should've done a better job of containing Jalen Whitley. The Seminoles secured a 61-56 W over the Huskies on Monday for which the team can thank Whitley, who posted 16 points and seven steals. The game was his third in a row with at least 16 points.

Westside's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Howard, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Coming up, Westside is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on Veterans at 7:30 p.m. on the 9th. As for Howard, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Hephzibah at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Huskies their first taste of in-conference action this season.
