Washington had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 41.3 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They never let the Carlynton Cougars get on the board and left with a 62-0 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Prexies' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Cougars are ranked 528th).

Washington's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Carlynton, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Washington is set to take on their familiar foe Seton LaSalle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Prexies 7.8, the Rebels 10.6) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Carlynton will face off against rival Charleroi at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
