Softball Recap: Roseburg Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

After losing to Grants Pass the last time they met, Roseburg decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Indians walked away with a 5-2 win over the Cavemen on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Cambria Bachmeier spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits.

At the plate, Ella Martinez-Bryson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Terra Singleton was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Roseburg's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.2 runs over those games. As for Grants Pass, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Roseburg nor Grants Pass have any future games scheduled.
