Basketball Recap: Whitley County Comes Up Short

Whitley County lost against North Laurel back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Colonels took a blow against the Jaguars, falling 68-15. The Colonels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Whitley County now has a losing record of 2-3-1. As for North Laurel, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitley County will wrap up 2025 with a road trip to face off against Creek Wood at 4:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for North Laurel, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on South Laurel at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2026.
