Meanwhile, Highland made easy work of Cassville on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Highland took every set by at least 10 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-15, 25-11.
Highland's win came from a few key players River Ridge will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ava Michek, who had 16 assists, six digs, five kills, and four aces. Celia Oleson was another key player, getting 10 kills, six digs, three aces, and a solo block.
Highland has now won six of their last seven games on the road. That gives them a 5-1 record this season. As for River Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
